Animal Week at RMSC

Saturday, Feb. 17–Sunday, Feb.25
11am—3 pm

Explore and discover the amazing world of the animal kingdom. From insects to mammals and beyond, join us to learn about how creatures have many ways of surviving in different environments. Get hands-on while learning about amazing animals big and small. Come back each day to meet different live animals from the Wildlife Rockstars, World of Wildlife Educational Encounters (WOWEE) and more!

 

Every day of Animal Week, look forward to:

  • Interacting with the animals of World of Wildlife Educational Encounters (WOWEE)
  • Hands-on activities
  • Meeting the Greyhound Adoption of Greater Rochester
  • Discovering unique creatures in presentations by the Wildlife Rockstars at 12:30 and 1:30pm
  • Enjoy additional hands-on activities and meet our education animals in the Carlson Inquiry Room (except Monday, Feb. 19)

Meet our friends at Lollypop Farm and learn about animal adoption.

 

Sunday, Feb. 18

Try out digital animal interactives with Alfred State College and Alfred University.

 

Monday, Feb. 19

Learn more about animals with Animal Teachers and Anne Meade.

 

Tuesday, Feb. 20

Say hello to Dakota, the mascot of Roc Animal School! Come learn about the wild lives of the six fox species of North America and how they've adapted to their ecosystem.

 

Thursday, Feb. 22

Discover the feathered friends of Braddock Bay Raptor Research.

 

Friday, Feb. 23

Learn more about animals with Animal Teachers and Anne Meade.
