Overnights at the RMSC

Give your class an unforgettable experience with a Night at the Museum! Overnights are available Wednesdays and Thursdays, January 4 -June 15, 2017  for grades 3rd - 7th  with a minimum of 40 students. Includes:  Live Science performance or Electricity Theater show,  2 Hands-On Classroom Experiences , after hour museum exploration, a pizza dinner, evening snack and contintental breakfast the following morning. Themes for classroom activities: Gross Science- Get gross with poop, blood and snot- learn about the funtions and the process of these bodily fluids; Robotics- tinker with old electronics and build your own robot that draws, experiment  with the EV3 LEGO robots; Dissection Lab-Have your students perform a dissection of either cow eyes, sheep hearts, earth worms, owl pellets or a plant (choice of 2); Geology- Learn about the earth, test minerals and sediments, and build a mini volcano!;  Engineering and Design- Build it up to break it down! Tinker with how things work, explore the design process with our Egg Drop challenge and play around in our Keva Exhibit.  For an addictional cost add on options ($3 per student per additional activity) include:  Planetarium Show, Inventor Center, Science on A Sphere, Docent tours and Exhibit workshops, and Carlson Inquiry Room classess.
