Discover Life Aboard the Space Station in a New Star Show at the Strasenburgh Planetarium

ROCHESTER, NY—The International Space Station has more interior space than a six-bedroom house. In a new star show at Rochester Museum & Science Center (RMSC) Strasenburgh Planetarium, Aboard the Space Station, audiences take a tour of the International Space Station surrounded by ultra-high-definition video on the Planetarium’s wraparound video system. The star show is now playing through June 24.

In the show, visitors hear stories by Station Commander Peggy Whitson, the oldest woman to fly in space, while floating through the various “rooms” and hearing about the daily routines of the astronauts.

In the second half of the show, the Planetarium’s giant star projector rises into action, and an expert presenter conducts a live tour of stars, constellations and planets of the current sky.

Aboard the Space Station is recommended for older children and adults and lasts about an hour. Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, college students with ID, and ages 3–18, and free for RMSC members. The complete Planetarium show schedule and other details are available at www.rmsc.org.
