Weddings

An outdoor wedding at the Cumming Nature Center provides you and your guests with a strikingly beautiful natural setting to celebrate your marriage, all while supporting the mission of the nature center to provide outdoor experiences and environmental education to the Finger Lakes region.

A ceremony in the cathedral pines is truly magical. From the dappled lighting to the naturally buoyant acoustics, this majestic outdoor space will ensure your day is breathtaking, original, and unforgettable.

Birthday Parties

Our birthday parties get a little wild!

Celebrate your child's birthday surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Cumming Nature Center. Forest Birthdays are for those little adventurers who love to celebrate with bugs, pinecones, mud, and campfires. Our adventurous and knowledgeable education team will manage your 3-hour party, which will include hands-on activities customized for your child and their friends.

Making a Reservation

Parties can be scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays. Start times are flexible, but 10am-1pm is the suggested timeframe. A $75 non-refundable fee is required to reserve your date and time slot. The remainder will be due on the day of your party. Full payment will be collected for parties that are canceled less than 48 hours prior to the party date.

Choose Your Theme

We offer several fun party themes, each with their own age-appropriate activities. We can adjust any of these themes to appeal to any age range from 4-12 years old. When you schedule your party, our education staff will work with you to design the perfect season-appropriate theme for your group.

Fairy Houses & Elf Fortresses
Using a little fairy magic, your group will find the perfect spot for the dream fairy house or elf fortress. Using natural materials, we'll construct the houses and have plenty of time for some birthday fun.

Primitive Skills
Hone and test your wilderness survival skills by building shelters with natural materials, fire construction, and camouflage.

Amphibian Foray
One of our favorite things to do is to catch frogs and salamanders. Our team knows all the tricks in finding these lovely and slimy critters.

Mud Pie Bakery
Enjoy our Mud Pie Bakery and create mud-licious masterpieces with all of your friends!

Party Package

Price: Members $225 | Non-Members $250

Full-day admission to CNC for the birthday child and up to 12 child guests and chaperones ($20 per additional child after first 10 guests, up to a 20-guest maximum)
