Streaming Live from the Strasenburgh Planetarium.

With a slide presentation and tour of reliable websites and apps, we introduce students and teachers to the key points and best resources for exploring our solar system and others. We see how to get facts about any planet or moon in our solar system, including size comparisons. Moons are just as important and interesting as planets, so we look at a few of the most important moons in our solar system. Then we learn how to find out about other solar systems that have been discovered in the last two decades.

Virtual Format: Teachers should plan to provide us a Zoom or Google meet link. We visit your classroom as a virtual guest.

  • Please note: some school internet systems require a change in settings to allow outside speakers. We recommend a five-minute test session a few days before your scheduled program to check the connection.
  • Teachers are responsible for moderating the chat and Q&A from students.
