How To Predict Eclipses - Virtual

Streaming Live from the Strasenburgh Planetarium
We review the sun and moon motions needed to produce a solar eclipse. Then we discover how to predict when those conditions will recur. This prepares us for eclipses coming soon, including the total solar eclipse in 2024.
Virtual Format: Teachers should plan to provide us a Zoom or Google meet link. We visit your classroom as a virtual guest.
- Please note: some school internet systems require a change in settings to allow outside speakers. We recommend a five-minute test session a few days before your scheduled program to check the connection.
- Teachers are responsible for moderating the chat and Q&A from students.
