Rotation and Revolution

Rotation and Revolution

Discover how planets and moons rotate as they revolve, causing day, night, and the cycles of the lunar month and year. Older students will see seasons and eclipses as well.

The Strasenburgh Planetarium's new Digistar full-dome visualization system makes these concepts vividly clear, while staying true to the Planetarium's real purpose: to foster curiosity and a sense of wonder.

Rotation and Revolution is appropriate for students of all ages; each performance will be tailored to suit the needs of the grade levels in attendance.
