Mini Messtival
Catch some messy, science-y fun this summer, rain or shine! Join us for Mini MESStival days & dive into some tactile, hands-on STEM.

programs & Activities
- Polymer Lab: Get your hands messy while you make your own slime, floam, and oobleck!
- Sensory Room: If you like an organized, contained mess–visit us in the Sensory Room for activities involving water beads, sensory bins, and sensory play!
- What’s in the Water: Learn real strategies and tools used by scientists to protect our planet’s water, and the creatures that live in it from many types of pollution.
- Explosive Science Demos: Meet us outside & in the Bausch Auditorium for some explosive fun! You’ll learn how to make Mastodon Toothpaste, what makes things tick (and boom!), and the power of N2.
- Chromatography Butterflies: Use household materials to perform a science experiment exploring the separation of colors! You’ll create a colorful butterfly to take home with you.
- Explosive Art: Use homemade rockets to create a burst of colorful art!
- Science on a Sphere: Drop in to learn about plastic pollution in our 3D Science on a Sphere theater.
