NATURE PAINTING FOR KIDS!
A CHILDREN’S ACRYLIC LANDSCAPE PAINTING CLASS
Kids ages 8-12 are invited to join artist Amber Hanselman for a nature painting workshop just for them!
Class description
Beginner painters aged 8-12 can join local artist Amber Hanselman to learn to paint this basic landscape with colorful acrylics. In this 1.5 hour class, students will learn painting techniques and the basics of working with acrylics to use on their painting to take home! All supplies and materials are included with registration; students are encouraged to wear clothes meant to get dirty. A parent/guardian must remain on site for the duration of the class.
There are two date options for this class: Friday, September 18th and Saturday, October 3rd. We will be painting the lake on September 18th and the pines on October 3rd (see samples below).

ABOUT YOUR INTSTRUCTOR
Amber Hanselman is a self-taught local artist who finds inspiration in the natural beauty of the Finger Lakes region. Though she has tried many mediums and techniques over the years, she is a landscape painter at heart. She now works mostly in gouache (like an opaque watercolor) and acrylics. Many of her paintings are loosely based off a scene she has seen in real life or imagined. Most of her paintings are inspired by scripture and the awesome expanse around us.
Amber has a home studio she uses not only for painting, but also for making electroformed jewelry. She also rents studio space at the Cheshire Union Gift Shop, where she sells paintings and jewelry; if you stop by while she’s in, say hello!
