Sensory Sunday
An inviting Museum & Science Center experience for visitors of all ages and abilities

About

Sensory Sunday at the RMSC is an opportunity for people of all ages with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, or other developmental disabilities to access a more sensory-friendly experience at the RMSC Museum & Science Center! Features will include dimmed lighting of fluorescent bulbs, social stories emailed ahead of time, designated quiet areas, and sensory-friendly activities.
For RMSC Members: Please call us at 585.271.4320 to register for this event in order to receive your member discount.
Some activities may include:
- Digital microscope
- KEVA building stations
- Blue blocks
- 3D printing demonstrations
Adaptive equipment provided:

- Earmuffs
- Fidget toys and/or stress toys
- Social Stories (provided ahead of time as well as linked below)
- KultureCity Sensory Bags (available any time you visit the museum)

This program is a pay-what-you-wish program. When you go to purchase your tickets, you’ll be able to choose which option is best for you!
Support for Sensory Sunday at the RMSC is generously provided by the Bernice Stauber Fund for 2023. All proceeds from Sensory Sunday at the RMSC go to funding admissions for future Sensory Sunday events.
