WHO HIDES IN THE CNC WOODS? A Trail Camera PRESENTATION
CNC is home to a variety of animals, and not all of them are ones you’ll see during your visit. So, how do we know they’re here? One method we use to collect data about species on the property is trail cams! Attend this session to learn more about some of the interesting critters that call the nature center home.

We see signs of so many animals in our woods, but there are many we rarely get to see, unless we capture them on trail camera! Join Madeline Wlasniewski from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation as she tells you why we put trail cameras in our woods and in other local places, and shows you what we have found. This program is appropriate for all ages.
about the presenter
Madeline Wlasniewski is a Wildlife Technician with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, where she has worked for the past 13 years. Her experience includes wildlife research using trail cameras to study species such as bobcats, fisher and timber rattlesnakes, as well as managing human-wildlife conflicts across the southern-tier. She works with a variety of species, including deer, black bears, and beavers, helping to balance wildlife conservation with the needs of local communities.
A lifelong resident of New York’s Finger Lakes region, Madeline now lives in Lindley, NY with her husband two sons. While her career is dedicated to conserving New York’s wildlife, her greatest passion is sharing that knowledge with her children and inspiring in them the same love and respect for the outdoors that has guided her own life.
