Walden Open House
High school students and their families can experience The Walden Project firsthand by attending an Open House at Cumming Nature Center.
The Walden Project – NY is a unique educational program where students ages 14-19 can earn college credit as they explore the three fundamental questions that guided Henry David Thoreau during his sojourn to Walden Pond: What is my relationship to myself? What is my relationship to my culture? What is my relationship to the natural world?
Your teen can experience The Walden Project firsthand by attending an Open House at Cumming Nature Center. Prospective students and their parents can visit the outdoor classroom, interact with program staff, and learn more about a year at Walden. The tour will begin at 1pm, but families can drop in anytime before 3pm.
