Explore the Cumming Nature Center landscape with one of our expert naturalists! This fall you can enjoy a guided hike or activity that investigates leaf litter, explores beaver ecology, or delves into nature’s medicines during one of our themed Weekend Wild Walk programs. Visitors can also learn from lead naturalist Shariee Edersheim each weekend during Naturalist on the Loose.

Nature Center admission is purchased separately from Wild Walk program fee.


Medicine Walk
November 12 | 10:30am | $4
Nature is good for our well-being in so many ways. Discover the world of plants used in traditional and contemporary healing while also learning to recognize wild flowers and trees in all seasons. Time for focused relaxation and reflection will also be included in this walk.

Tickets available online and at the door.

Naturalist on the Loose
Saturdays & Sundays | 10:30am – 1pm | Free with admission

Walk alongside our outstanding lead naturalist, Shariee Edersheim, as she explores what’s happening in nature each weekend. Edersheim has spent decades observing and exploring the plant and animal life at CNC, and this unique drop-in style program gives visitors the opportunity to learn from her extensive knowledge of the Nature Center landscape.

Interested visitors can check in at the front desk for her location between 10:30am and 1pm each Saturday & Sunday before heading out on the trail to meet our Naturalist on the Loose!
