WOOL-FELTED MUSHROOM WORKSHOP
Join artist Christin Lersch for a fun, hands-on workshop in which you’ll learn how to create felted mushrooms out of wool!
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Join us for a fungi-focused fiber art workshop! In this hands-on intro to the wet felting process, we’ll transform fluffy wool fibers into small mushrooms. Unlike needle felting, this process does not use any sharp tools. Instead, wet felting uses warm water & soap to lock loose fibers together into solid felted fabric. No prior skills required, project is fun for beginner & experienced artists alike. All materials included. Instructor Christin Lersch will guide you through the process of designing and sculpting loose wool roving to make your own custom 3-D mushroom shape, complete with soft mossy details. You’ll leave with new skills and your own handmade one of a kind wool felted mushroom.
This workshop is intended for adults and teens accompanied by an adult.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Christin Lersch is an experienced artist, maker & workshop facilitator based in Naples, NY. She has offered creative arts workshops for all ages & abilities, across the Finger Lakes region for more than 20 years. With a background in art therapy & fine arts, she loves the process of making and sharing with others and holding space for anyone seeking to connect with their creative side. She believes passionately that every single person is an artist (and it’s never too late to start!) Her classes are designed to pair enough gentle instruction, inspiration and encouragement to get you creating with confidence.
Christin provides safe space for exploring, discovering and building skills while engaging in accessible art projects spanning a wide variety of mediums. Spend time connecting with your inner artist creator. Leave energized, inspired and uncover a new favorite medium along the way!
