Come check out Cumming Nature Center’s new and improved Discovery Zone upstairs in the Hurst Gallery! Here, kids (or kids at heart!) can dive into the Investigation Station to enjoy themes such as Creepy Creatures or Fantastic Fungi. Or learn about animals through information sheets, furs, and bones!

The nature play area provides younger children with a host of tactile activities designed to educate and entertain. Young visitors can discover new textures at the touch table, explore local animal signs, adaptations, and habitat, or fill out a coloring page!
INVESTIGATION STATION
The Investigation Station is a rotating themed area filled with educational activities, games, crafts, and so much more. Enjoy themed books checked out from the local library, create a themed craft to take home, and learn new, cool facts to share with your friends and family!
Snowy Seasons
Dive into Snowy Seasons, which is currently being featured in the Discovery Zone’s Investigation Station! Here, you will find the answer to the Investigation Station question: “what is special about snow and seasons?” Explore snowflake science, what causes the seasons, what beavers do in the winter, why New York gets so much snow, and more!
