USS Rochester
Discover the history of The USS Rochester (CA 124), one of the US Navy’s last heavy cruisers and the 3rd Navy cruiser to bear the name of the city of Rochester, New York.

The USS Rochester
Built immediately at the end of WW II, The USS Rochester represents both the end of one era of naval warfare and the beginning of another. Sponsored by Rochesterian Mrs. M. Herbert Eisenhart, this veritable floating city became the flagship of the Navy’s 7th fleet during the Korean War. This exhibit features authentic objects from the ship and several hands-on activities, including a full model of the ship.
