MEDIA ALERT: Three women to discuss working in the music industry at RMSC Wednesday, March 13

RMSC’s Science on the Edge lecture series continues with Record Archive’s Alayna Alderman, WXXI’s Julia Figueras, and soprano Kearstin Piper Brown



The Rochester Museum & Science Center (RMSC) Richard C. Shultz Science on the Edge lecture series provides insight into a broad array of topics, and provides an after-hours opportunity to explore the Museum’s three floors filled with 200 hands-on exhibits.

 Music Making Way for Women: Navigating the Male Dominated Music Industry with Alayna Alderman, Julia Figueras, and Kearstin Piper Brown

Three women discuss their journey through the male dominated music industry. Alayna Alderman, co-owner of Record Archive, will discuss navigating music retail and business; Julia Figueras will talk about being a woman in media and radio; and soprano Kearstin Piper Brown will speak to her experiences juggling a career as a world–renowned touring opera singer and motherhood.

Tickets to the Richard C. Shultz Science on the Edge lecture series are $10 for the general public; $8 for RMSC members; $6 for students through grade 12 and college students with ID; $5 for students who are RMSC members; and $2 for RMSC employees, docents, volunteers, and members of the Rochester Engineering Society.
