Adults Rock the 80s at Latest Sold-Out RMSC After Dark Event

    ROCHESTER, NY—Whether they lived the 80s or never saw them, guests are invited to party hardy with music, science and more at RMSC After Dark: Totally 80s, the next 21-and-over event at the Rochester Museum & Science Center (RMSC). The sold-out event takes place from 7pm through 11pm on Saturday, February 6.

    Guests are encouraged to come dressed to the max in their neon colors and celebrate a totally RAD decade in an evening loaded with immersive 80s experiences. In addition to exploring the 200 interactive exhibits on all three floors of the Museum, dudes and dudettes have the opportunity to:

    • Do the dance of joy to 80s music by the live band, Hall Pass.
    • Chow down on snacks and sip drinks at cash bars.
    • Make their own light-up scrunchie and take apart old electronics.
    • Test their 80s knowledge at trivia.
    • Check out a decade-long timeline of historical events.
    • Experience musical lightning in Electricity Theater.
    • Rollerskate like a kid at heart in the Eisenhart Auditorium on campus.
    • Witness a huge indoor explosion involving ping pong balls at the very end of the night.

    The RMSC hosts several RMSC After Dark adult events throughout the year, and this is the ninth event. After Totally 80s, RMSC will host Makers Masquerade, which takes place on Friday, May 13. Attendance nearly doubled between the first and second events and several of the past events featured sold-out or nearly sold-out crowds. The theme of each event changes and activities are designed based on the science and history associated with the theme. Past themes include Monster Bash, Lights Out, Geek Chic Prom, Prehistoric Party, The Science of Sound, Carnival of Curiosity, Sci-Fi and Repeal: A Prohibition Era Event. Costumes are always encouraged.

                New for this event are 30 VIP tickets, which sold out within the first week. Must be 21 or older to attend. Must have proof of ID at the door.
