WHAT: Animal Week at the RMSC Museum & Science Center is an opportunity for visitors to explore and discover the amazing animal kingdom. This year’s theme is “Surviving Every Climate.”
From insects to mammals and beyond, visitors will learn how creatures from the desert, the tropical forest, and even your own backyard have evolved to survive. There will be hands-on activities aimed at wildlife conservation, and outside presentations from local groups working with wildlife rehabilitation, including: The Wildlife Rockstars, World of Wildlife Educational Encounters (WOWEE), Pitty Love Rescue, Braddock Bay Raptor Research, local beekeeping groups, and more.
There will be several live animals at the Museum & Science Center throughout the week*, including:
- American Alligator
- Baby Pig
- Bearded Dragon
- Broad Winged Hawk
- Fennec Fox
- Jacobin Pigeons
- Merlin Falcon
- Prairie Dog
- Ring Tailed Lemur
- Three Banded Armadillo
*The animals listed may not be at the museum every day of the week, and appearances will vary. Animals need a break too!
