Discover the Amazing Animal Kingdom at Rochester Museum & Science Center During February Break

    ROCHESTER, NY—From birds to mammals, amphibians and beyond, visitors to the Rochester Museum & Science Center (RMSC) experience live animals at the second annual Amazing Animals program during February break week. The event takes place from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, February 13 through Sunday, February 21 and features hands-on fun for the whole family as well as different animals and expert presenters throughout the week.

    An array of animals and animal-themed activities entertain visitors of all ages. As they romp through the RMSC, guests explore some of the creatures that share Earth. Featured animals include a lemur, iguana, kangaroo, squirrel monkey and prairie dog, as well as various birds, invertebrates and other reptiles. Full details are included below:

    Saturday, February 20 & Sunday, February 21: Creatures of Flight 

    • Presenter: Wild Wings, 11am-3pm, Saturday ONLY 
    • Presenter: Birds Unlimited, 12-3pm, Sunday ONLY

    All nine days starting at 11am, visitors have the opportunity to meet and ask questions of a Senior Zoologist from Clyde Peeling’s Reptiland, Anna Simpson, as she shares exciting facts about the live frogs on display in the Frogs: A Chorus of Colors exhibition. Also each day, live presentations by the Wildlife Defenders will take place at 12:30pm and 2:30pm.

    The Amazing Animals program is free with regular museum admission: $13 adults, $12 seniors and college students with ID, $11 ages 3 to 18, free for children under 3 and RMSC members. Admission to the Frogs: A Chorus of Colors exhibition, on display through April 10, is also free with regular museum admission. For group reservations and rates, call 585.697.1942.
