ROCHESTER, NY— Calling all witches, monsters, ghouls, and goblins! Community members age 21 and older are invited to the Halloween event of the season, the second annual Rochester Museum & Science Center (RMSC) After Dark: Monster Bash on Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, from 7–11 p.m.
Geek out in RMSC’s new featured exhibit, SciFiTech. Win prizes from Black Button Distilling in the costume contest. Enjoy cash bars, craft spirit samples, and food trucks. Get your haunt on with these other spook-tacular activities:
- Dance to tunes in hair-raising Electricity Theater shows
- Enter Virtual Reality in two games by Rochester’s immersive entertainment center, VeRacity VRcade
- Keep your wits about you as you peer into the past at eerie images and photographs pulled from the RMSC archives
- What’s scarier than extinction? The Center for Biological Diversity’s Pillow Talk table will teach you about the unexpected way you can save species
- Let your mind be blown by our Science on a Sphere shows
- Get creative with activities from the Rochester Maker Faire: try on an LED Space Helmet and check out the Big Face Box photo op
- Take a seat at the newly renovated Strasenburgh Planetarium and prepare to be enthralled by thrilling laser shows

RMSC hosts several 21+ After Dark adult events throughout the year, most to sold-out crowds. The theme of each event changes and activities are designed based on the theme.
Guests must be 21 or older to attend RMSC After Dark: Monster Bash and must show proof of age at the door. Pre-purchased tickets are $16 general admission and $13 for RMSC Members; day-of tickets are $22. Tickets are limited, and pre-purchasing is strongly encouraged as past events have sold out.
