WHAT: Spend a day delving into the wonders of the mycological world during Fungi Fest at the Rochester Museum & Science Center’s (RMSC) Cumming Nature Center (CNC). On Sunday, September 26, visitors can join guided foray hikes with mycology experts to see fungi along the trails at CNC. Visitors can also engage with other hands-on activities as they learn about fungi, including:
- Learning to make spore prints
- Trying mushroom printing
- Practicing basic fungi identification
- Sampling gourmet mushroom flavors
- Discovering mushroom dyes
- And more!
Advanced hike registration recommended, but some tickets will be available at the door. Space is limited on fungi hikes.
Admission to this event is $3 per person OR $10 per family. RMSC and Pines Pass members receive free admission. Guided hikes are an additional $4 per person.
