WHAT:
The Rochester Museum & Science Center (RMSC) will host its annual fundraising event, Innovation Celebration tonight. Funds raised at this year’s event will support RMSC’s important efforts to engage guests of all ages and backgrounds in immersive STEM opportunities and spark a passion for lifelong learning. Support also allows RMSC to serve the community by subsidizing admission and transportation costs, making it possible for nearly 20,000 underserved children, families, and school groups to visit each year.
Throughout the evening, guests will preview RMSC’s upcoming exhibit, SciFiTech, through an augmented reality experience and collection items that will be featured in the exhibit; interact with light blocks, Ozo bots, and a VR experience with RMSC’s education team; enjoy tastings from Tommyrotter Distillery and Three Heads Brewing; and network with fellow RMSC supporters. Attendees will enjoy an open bar, sit-down dinner, silent and live auctions, and dancing to live music from Uptown Groove. Joe Lomonaco, co-host of the 5 O’Clock News Hour on NewsRadio WHAM 1180, will serve as emcee.
