    WHEN:

    Tuesday, October 25, 2022 | 8:30–11am

    WHAT:

Red Vest Day: Lowe’s associates will be on campus at the RMSC Museum & Science Center to kick off the construction of a community garden, green space, “Pollinator Park”, and outdoor educational space.

    WHY:

The RMSC received a Lowe’s Hometowns grant this past summer to create a community garden and space for outdoor learning in the heart of downtown Rochester. The community garden is one of 100 community-nominated impact projects that were selected as part of this year’s Lowe’s Hometowns program, with 2022 serving as the first of a five-year, $100 million commitment to the communities it serves. You can read more about the grant and project here

    WHO IS THIS FOR:

This event is being held for RMSC staff and volunteers from our local Lowe’s as a kick-off event.

    WHERE IS IT HELD:

The community garden is being constructed in the green space to the left of the Strasenburgh Planetarium (when entering from East Avenue).
