RMSC Hosts ‘Curiosity Campout’ to Give Families a Taste of Summer Curiosity Camps

WHAT: The Rochester Museum & Science Center is hosting its first ever Curiosity Campout on Friday, June 25, with the theme of Summer Camp Classics. During this night of hands-on science fun, families will enjoy a variety of activities, including:

    • Designing, building, and testing catapults
    • Creating a miniature Strasenburgh Planetarium to take home
    • Learning about the states of matter
    • And more!

Curiosity Campout is a great way to kick off a summer full of science for all families, whether they’re familiar with the RMSC or have never visited.

For those interested in RMSC’s Curiosity Camps, this event provides an opportunity to become familiar with the RMSC campus, meet the educators who lead camps, and see what types of activities are offered.

Visit for more information and to register.

This pre-registered event will take place at the RMSC’s Rochester campus on Friday, June 25, from 4:30 – 6:30pm.

This event is designed for children and caregivers to enjoy together. Activities will be designed for kids between the ages 5-11, but all are welcome.
