WHAT: The Rochester Museum & Science Center (RMSC) is hosting a Rain Barrel workshop at the Museum on Saturday, June 19, and Saturday, June 26. Event attendees will discover how they can utilize green infrastructure by creating their own rain barrels to take home. The RMSC supplies all materials needed to create the rain barrels.
Rain barrels are a great way to collect rainwater to be repurposed for lawn and garden watering, saving you money and resources. Water usage increases by approximately 30 percent in the summer months due to watering gardens, filling pools, and more. Rain barrels are a great way to challenge that percentage and maintain a cost-effective process.
Spots are limited and attendees must register in advance to participate.
Check RMSC.org/rainbarrels for more details and to register.
