The RMSC Museum and Strasenburgh Planetarium Return to Regular Hours on June 25

    WHAT: The Rochester Museum & Science Center (RMSC) Museum will resume it’s 7-day weekly schedule beginning Friday, June 25, 2021. 

    The RMSC Museum’s new schedule will be:

    • Monday – Saturday: 9-5pm
    • Sunday: 11-5pm
    • RMSC Member-only hours: Sundays from 10-11am.

    The RMSC’s Strasenburgh Planetarium will also offer more shows throughout the week. Showtimes can be found at RMSC.org/shows

    The RMSC Museum has reintroduced all exhibits and activities which were previously closed due to COVID. This includes the Inventor Center, the Dig Site and puppet theater experiences in Expedition Earth, the Volcano Ballpit, and the popular climbing structures Adventure Zone.

    In addition to the Museum’s hands-on exhibits, visitors can enjoy live shows such as Electricity Theater, Science on a Sphere, Live Science, Science Encounters, and more. The Museum will also be hosting more in-person events, such as Curiosity Campout (June 25) and MESS-tival (July 26 – August 1) as the summer progresses.

    Per guidance from the CDC, any visitors who are not vaccinated, including children ages 3-11, are required to wear a mask during their visit. Visitors who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear masks during their visit. 

    Hours at the RMSC’s Cumming Nature Center will remain the same and can be found at RMSC.org/visit-cnc.
