E.T. Activities & Special Screening

E.T. Activities & Special Screening

November 9, 10, and 11 & November 16
11-3pm

We're celebrating the sci-fi classic and everyone's favorite alien, E.T., in collaboration with The Little Theatre. Dive into activities at the Science Museum Saturday, November 9 - Monday, November 11 and then head to The Little Theatre on November 16 at 3pm for a special screening of E.T. on the big screen.

Activities planned:

  • E.T. Mooncatchers: We'll have all the supplies for you to create a mooncatcher version of the iconic E.T. movie poster.
  • LED Hearts: We all know that classic scene were E.T.'s heart glows as his spaceship lands to take him home. We're going to recreate this glowing heart by building our own circuit with copper tape and LED lights. Naturally, Reese's Pieces will be available to munch on while you work.
  • Hide & Seek Moon: Learn about some of the tools scientists use to study objects that are very, very far away. Look through our binoculars to find hidden objects on our oversized  Moon poster to discover how some tools can make distant objects appear closer and brighter.
  • The RIT Digital Game Hub will also be set up with video games to explore.

Post-activities head up stairs to our newest exhibit, SciFiTech, and find E.T.!

Activities are included with admission
