Strasenburgh Planetarium Celebrating 50 Years

Strasenburgh Planetarium Celebrating 50 Years

Since RMSC’s Strasenburgh Planetarium first opened its doors in 1968, generations of Rochesterians have explored the wonders of the universe under its dome—and exciting changes are on the horizon as we look forward to the next 50 years!

The Planetarium is currently closed for upgrades to the Star Theater, including an open floor plan with movable chairs and a new full-dome projection system that will allow us to create shows and experiences we haven’t imagined yet.
