I will conduct my work at the RMSC between 9am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.
I will observe access and security regulations relating to the use of RMSC collections and study rooms.
I will observe guidelines for handling collections, including possible restrictions regarding what collections may be handled.
I will observe restrictions of how and where photography may take place.
I agree to the below RMSC Research Policy for Native American Collections:

In view of our work to move forward efficiently and respectfully with NAGPRA compliance and to align our research protocols with best practices in the field, the RMSC will observe a:


1) Temporary moratorium on new research access to RMSC collections and related documentation that are under NAGPRA review*, unless a) there is no objection from Indian Tribes and Nations whose aboriginal land includes that location or b) the request is in support of cultural resource management investigations as required by applicable state laws, until those collections have been resolved for NAGPRA eligibility through consultation.


2) Moratorium on new publication of images and research access to RMSC collections that are subject to NAGPRA, inclusive of human remains (ancestors), funerary objects, sacred objects, and objects of cultural patrimony, unless there is no objection from known culturally affiliated Tribes and Nations or, in the absence of culturally affiliated Tribes and Nations, the Tribes and Nations whose aboriginal land includes that location.

*For the purpose of this policy, “under NAGPRA review” includes any Native American site collections held by RMSC that are known to contain human remains (ancestors) or funerary objects.
